Privacy notice

Your privacy matters. This notice explains how The Second Act Counselling collects and uses personal information, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the NZAC Code of Ethics.

What I collect

When you contact me through this website or by email, I collect the details you choose to provide — such as your name, contact details, and the content of your message. If you become a client, I keep confidential counselling records as required for safe, ethical practice.

How I use it

Your information is used only to respond to your enquiry, provide counselling services, and meet my professional and legal obligations. I do not sell your information, and I do not share it for marketing.

Confidentiality & its limits

Counselling is confidential. There are a small number of legal and ethical exceptions — for example, where there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or where disclosure is required by law. I will always aim to discuss these with you where it is safe and appropriate to do so.

Storage & security

Records are stored securely and kept only as long as required by professional standards and law. Email is convenient but not perfectly secure; please share only what you're comfortable sending by email.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, to request a correction, and to ask questions about how it is handled. To do any of these, email FarrowCounselling@Outlook.com.

Website & forms

This site is intentionally lightweight. Enquiries sent through the contact form are delivered to me by email so I can reply. If you have concerns about privacy you can contact me directly instead.

This notice is provided for general information and may be updated from time to time. It is not legal advice; for your own situation, consider seeking independent advice.
